Handheld CB unit on Ultra

Handheld CB unit on Ultra
Have a 2007 Ultra, and ride with folks who use the CB on HOG runs.
I use the Intercom to chat with wife.
I need Bluetooth now, because we have elderly folks at home, and the caretaker should be able to reach us even while riding. The wife can handle the phone
I am looking at Cardo G9 system as a friend wants to be able to pair up.
I am also looking at J&M great BT Interface for the Ultra,.
One thing I did consider, if I got the Cardo, I could buy a handheld CB, plug it into the Ultra, and on the times I use CB, use it through the Speakers, leaving the Cardo to handle the rest of the duties.
Long winded explanation to get to the question:
Can I use a handheld CB uni, and use the External speakers on the Ultra to receive the audio, and not have my HD cord used?
Thanks

[QUOTE=ONEDOWNAND5UP;10958204]Your Ultra has a CB already..Or did I mis understand the question?
Sorry, I was probably not clear, but it has been answered.
I have a CB,and it is wired in, and to use it I need the HD cable system, with the mic.
But, if I get the Cardo, I have phone, intercom, comm with my friends, no room for HD set, so lose their system.
If the CB can use the hand held system, and the external speakers, I can us it for the CB on those special trips, but have the Cardo G9 for everyday!

Get a Garmin Zumo 660 and wire it into your Harmon Cardon. This will give you a Bluetooth while letting all the other functions of your system work, and you will have a highly advanced GPS that will play MP3 files through internal memory or with SD Cards.
A little pricey, but it solves all your problems.

No! As long as you are in Aux mode and the Zumo is connected via a cable into the AUX port on the front of your Harmon Cardon, you can talk through your HD headset. Be advised that sound quality is not good because of wind, but that will be the case with bluetooth also. The best thing about the Zumo BT feature is that it will accept you phone book, so any call you get, you will be able to see who's calling on the screen of the GPS. Even if you can't have a clear conversation on the headset, you can stop and call back.
