It's funny, everytime I attend the IMS show, there's J&M with a bike with a KILLER system just blasting away, and I must agree that I have had NO luck with their stuff at all and figured I wasn't doing something right so next time around I went with the Boom audio stuff and was pleasantly surprised, simple install and clear, crisp sound. Now I don't blast my music, I do listen to it at high volumes but it's not a thumper. I think if you want a great sound and very easy installation, the Boom is the way to go.

 

well im not sure i really know what speakers to buy now! but, im definitely staying away from the j&m stuff!!! thanks guys, you saved me some waisted money.

 

Starting out a long time ago, I'd recommend staying away from anything with the Pyle nameplate on them. Low cost, yes, low performance, sure thing. reminds me of the Kraco speakers in my car I had in College.

 

I have an aftermarket fairing on my Road King, hertz 6x9's in the front, Polk dB 691 in the bag lids. The Polk's are horrible.

 

Worst upgrade --- Hogtunes. Best bang for the buck --- Titan II 6.5 from biketronics.com

 

I have the Rokker XT 7.25s, Rokker 5.25s and the 500 watt 4 channel J&M Amp. My system is BANANAS AND BLOWS AWAY ALL MY BUDDIES SYSTEMS. One buddy has a House Party system on his SG, another buddy has the Hogtunes Amp with Rokker Xts on his SG. I have had absolutely NO problems with my system and I BUMP IT ON LOUD all day!

 

I cant fault the Rokker XTC stuff either. J&M has been a good upgrade for me.

 

I just ordered a set of the JM XTC 7.25 speakers.....a little worried now!!

 

I have the Rokker XTC 7.25 kit now with factory radio......I had the older J&M 5.25's with grill tweeter.....the new Rokkers are maybe 2% better.....barely noticeable difference in volume and low frequency extension and definitely not worth the high price tag. I would almost change back to the smaller speakers and sell these. The 5.25's have a bad bump about 200-300hz, which is gone with the Rokkers and about the only good thing I can say about them.

 

Had a set of J&M's on my 08 RG. Some better than stock but not enough. On top of that their customer service sucks.
