Heated grips are great for your palms... I love mine. But, it does nothing for the top of of your hands or finger tips. A good pair of leather gloves combined with heated grips works for me. I wear gloves by Fox Creek.

If you don't want to buy battery heated gloves check of the STORMR gloves. These are neoprene fishing gloves and are very warm. http://stormrusa.com/accessories/

Wow, thanks for all of the responses, I purchased a glove liner from REI they helped but my hands cramped up from being crowded inside the glove.

I live in the Los Angeles area of Kalifonia it gets down around 35 or so at 0500 it's not that cold however the nerve damage in my hands is putting a damper in my life when I ride in the early am, I ride everyday back and forth to work so I'm
gonna have to invest if I want to ride in the cold

I'm going to look into the Gerber battery operated gloves, thanks again.

Default Gloves

When I was in the Air Force, I was issued leather shells with wool liners. Whenever I need new riding gloves, I go to the nearest Army surplus store and get another pair. I usually get three or four years out of them and I am seldom cold riding up here in Maine.
