I have the newer jack. Only problem i have with it, is the black rubber grip is still loose on the handle, even after using contact cement on it.
I agree on the 2 piece handle being loose....i'll weld them togetter

 

For those that were interested this is what Steve made for me. It is the one on the left. The one on the right is what came with their older style bottle jacks. Makes releasing much easier.

 

They were good to deal with, I had decided to buy, and tried to online but their website was down being updated. When it was back up the shipping price had raised, I ask why and they agreed to honor the lower shipping. Delivered it really fast, but Fed Ex beat the hell out of the box, It was busted and the jack almost out. I got it opened and the jack is ok, just have to get over to a welding shop and have the foot pump handle repaired, No way to use it like it is. Beware of the Fed Ex delivery, if you can pick it up in person.

 

I did a LOT of homework/negotiating re: Sears/J&S/Titan/PitBull/HF and finally ordered a J&S today... Thanks to ALL for their candid input re: pros/cons...
