yeah that sucks when your indy charges the same rate as the local dealer.

and you can flush your brakes yourself without dealer help - just pull the maxi fuse for 30 seconds and reinstall. speed bleeders work wonders as well and will keep you from even having to pull the maxi.

all you need is a service manual (or common since) the right fluids and filter do your safety checks according to the manual and boom your done. 65to 75.oo bucks and this is coming from a stealership PHD tech. I charge 150 for my fees (in my garage) that includes fluids and filter I make 75 you put 75 in parts seems fair to me. My customers seem to not mind but my stealership charges 280 to 300.

Got another quote from Indy here in So Cal for 5000 mile service, he's at $300. With syn oil.
That's $68 cheaper than the dealer.

If you can't do your own maintenance that is a hell of a deal if you put the miles on your bike. 240 a year.

Yeah, you can ride it hard, put it away wet and let the dealer bed it down.

go to your local shop & have them do it, there's nothing on the 5k that they can''t do.just keep your receipt. if you dont hot-rod the bike your ok if you ever hear a noise in the primary area, shut the bike off immediately, to prevent further damage to the compensator.did you get the ext warrenty? you might grease the steering neck yourself,
mine was very dry when i did it. '09 tr-glide. also put some di-electrical grease on the fuses & in all elec connections.
