Default Ticking noise after FM 107 build

Hey guys, I just finished my FM 107 build on my 2010 FLTRX. When I was doing the heat cycles I noticed a loud ticking coming from the front of the engine. At first I thought it was the lifters (as expected) but after the rest of the engine quieted down the ticking remained. During the second and third heat cycles I got in closer and believe that it's coming from the exhaust at the head. I loosened the bolts and then retorqued them again which seemed to help but not very much.

I've heard that exhaust leaks will cause a ticking. I don't want to tighten the bolts anymore in fear of stripping. I'm thinking maybe pulling exhaust and putting in new gaskets. Any other ideas or suggestions before I go that route????

One thing I forgot to add, the engine light kept coming on with each heat cycle. I cleared it via the PV after the first one but it kept coming on. Not sure if this is relevant.

Would sound like a push rod adjustment issue, but FM would know better

New exhaust gaskets? With a exhaust leak you can hear the valve train better cause the exhaust valve is right there.
I used the screaming eagle exhaust gaskets and had same problem. Switched to stock and fixed problem.

The most obvious response was already posted. Call FM. If they don't help you it would prolly be a first.

Have you re-adjusted your push rods yet?
How is your oil pressure?
Did you change cams, go into the cam case?

Buddy of mine did a build and had the same problem. Exhaust leak was cause. He was using SE exhaust gaskets, Switched to stock problem solved. He also thought push rods needed adjusted but turned out to be an exhaust leak. You would not think a exhaust leak would cause a ticking sound.
