how do you drain clutch lines for replacement ones?

Since you say "drain" a clutch line I assume you have a hydraulic clutch. If that's so, you don't need to "drain" the line, just have a pan ready to catch the fluid as you disconnect the line. When you install the new line you simply bleed the clutch much the same as you bleed brakes.
OTOH, if you don't have a hydraulic clutch you don't need to be doing your own wrenching.

The transmission side cover for hydraulic clutches has a bleeder threaded into it. Pick up a vacuum bleeder, attach to that bleeder, open the bleeder, and vacuum the fluid out.
Be careful with the fluid. It's DOT4, which is corrosive to paint. Cover as much of the painted surfaces as possible.
