Default Installed Auxillary Brake Light Kit (pics)

Here's a quick and easy installation that improves the visibility of our rigs and probably improves safety. The Auxillary Brake Light Conversion Kit (#69461-06A) runs about $55.

The kit comes with two new red lens covers, a wire harness, and some zip ties to secure the wiring. You will use your existing bulbs. Here's the harness adapter that is included in the kit.

Start by removing the seat. The connector for the existing rear lights is on the fender and easy to get to.

Simply disconnect the existing harness and add the new harness into it. There's only one way that it will go, so even I couldn't mess it up! I tucked the completed harness between the fender and the frame.

Put the seat back on, making sure that you have placed the new harness out of the way so that it can't be pinched. Replace the existing amber lens covers with the new red ones and you're done! About 15 minutes and a lot more light for motorists to see!

I installed this unit #IBF4from Comagination for directional/brakelight/flashing. It works great. http://www.comagination.com/bflasher.htm

If you are asking about the HD module, the answer is yes. What you need to look for is the unit that has your specific replacement lenses. Look in other sections of the HD accessories catalogue for this unit. The module is the same.

Since I've installed this on my Classic last year, they came outwith a harness which does the same thing, PLUS has the running lights as well, $60 I think.
