I run the DNA fat 52 spoke mammoth on mine. There are certainly varrying opinions, but for me personally, i've had no issues with it holding air, or anything else for that matter. it's been great, and it looks great.
I may have got the deal of a decade from Eastern Performance via eBay. 21" & 17" RC Components (Prowler) with Matching Rotors AND Metzeler tires (200 on rear) for $1,900. And yes they were brand new. Only drawback was I had to pay state sales tax since I'm in Maryland.
Give Drew at HogPro a call. I bet he can hook you up with a good deal on two wheels, tires and rotors for under $3K. I was like you when looking at wheels and seeing the high prices for just a front wheel. Got to looking a little harder and when I got serious about buying I called HogPro. I know people say you can't see the back wheel, but I can't see doing the front and not doing the back, but we do what we can afford at the time. When you call HogPro make sure to mention you're a forum member too. Good luck on your search.
We can certainly make you a great deal and there is nothing that looks like the Big Daddy wheels. Run tubes in the tires and there is no need to worry about them leaking air. I run these fat spoke wheels on two of my bikes with tubes. I love them.

your bike looks nice,,, mine is a real lower in the back with a 1 1/2 lowing kit,,, so you think I need to lower the front 2 1/2? I think that would make it to low for the speed bumps around here.?
Can't help you going that low. Sure someone around here has done it. Good luck
JMO and take it for whats it worth, but I think that the dna spoke rims look absolutely sick on the roadking like the two pictured. I just dont think they look as good on a fairing bike. Again just me.
