Easiest Way to Lower my Bike?
I have the 2009 Streetglide pictured here. What is the easiest way to lower the bike. Problem is the front tire is 22" and the rear is stock. Also have the extended bags on the sides. I found this kit for 18 dollars and was wondering how low If any that I can safely lower it?

If u have a 22" ??? Look at the tire size and let us know what the front tire size numbers are and that will help us figure out what U need to do. The rear tire size might be helpful as well. How tall/inseam length would also benefit in helping u.
Those lowering blocks will destroy your ride, really rough as it decreases the leverage the shock has on the swing arm so it is a poor mans attempt to get a bike low enough to handle it in a more comfortable manner. There are other ways, a reach or super reach seat from
Harley that will help move U forward and down, plus narrow the seat slightly so your legs are not having to be splayed wide so your feet are in closer to your hip width then wider than your shoulders with either of these seats. Cost, $300.
Also U need to put 20psi in the rear shocks. If they are stock, they won't raise or lower the bike, just stiffen up the preload by adding, decrease by lowering. To low and it will bottom out much easier, to much and it will be very stiff. Finding a happy medium is the only way to make these shocks work for me. If U have a taller wheel, then the front needs to go lower before U even think about lowering the bike in the back!!!!!!! As was mentioned before, a quick spring change is cheap, u can probably do it yourself and with a set of lowering progressive spring kit will sure help the front feel better and get the attitude of the bike closer to how it was designed. Right now if I understand correctly the front axle is 1-2" higher from the pavement compared to stock and the rear is stock so the bike has less weight on the front and could cause handling issues. Lowering the front to get it right will help u and the bike and those blocks won't help u at anything except getting the back of the bike setting lower...
