Yes. If I can see over the shield like I want OL is getting the buffeting (the thumping in your ears). Madstead has helped but its awful hard to look at and was $$$. Stock actually worked well for her, but I couldn't stand looking through it. I am happy with all of them as long as I'm not staring through it.

 

I have a 6.5 clearview. I look over it and the wind goes over my head so it's perfect for me but my girl gets alot of buffeting. I'll probably have to get a taller shield for when I haul her around. by the way the guys at clear view are the best I've bought a few from them. ask for the deals on the slight blemish shields. couldn't even find the spot on mine

 

Put a 16" windvest on our '12 RGU, never happier, I am 6'2" and it does as advertised. I went with clear, you could probably go 13" smoked and do well. My little woman gets zero turbulence or drag.
