I had a PCV upgraded to the PV I think it is worth the extra cost.

I asked the same question,as I was looking to replace my PCV for no real reason, only I asked FuelMoto and Dynojet. The reply was it depends on how much you like to tinker. If you want to just ride, the PCV is great. Basically they told me to save my money.

Stage 1 103 only and no other mods planned? I'd consider the Micro Tuner instead. Only $200, and takes PCV maps, which you can get from Fuel Moto.

Depends on what you're looking to get from your ride (performance) and modeling off your planned upgrades (if any)...

I agree with everything that's been said here already. I've had the PCIII, PCV, PCV-AT, and now have the PV installed on this bike. Any one of these devices will give you a good tune. Which one is best for you depends largely on how intimate you want to get with your tuning experience--i.e., how much you like to tweak.

I wouldn't go back to the PCV now that I've worked with the PV, but I like to tweak and the PV is a tweaker's dream come true. That said, I wouldn't consider it a step backward in a tuning sense to revert to the PCV if necessary, and for the money I recommend the PCV to prospective buyers more than the PV. Now that the Micro-Tuner is available it may be the best bang-for-the-buck option, and I would advise anyone looking into a tuner purchase to call FM for advice on which is best for you.

If you don't plan on going any further than a stage 1 the micro is the fine or you can do the pcv if you want auto tune at some point. But if you like to see what's going on with your bike and tweak settings PV is the way to go! I have mine mounted on my bike and love being able to see what's going on at any given time.

And as it was said above call FM best advice!

There are two good advantages the PV has over the PCV or micro even if ya never want to mess with the tune. Total control of the oem ecm (not an add on) and retained use of closed loop oxygen sensors. I am thinking of upgrading from PCV for these reasons???
