Default RE: TMax Autotune for a 110" ?

Plus or minus 20% from the settings that you entered.

ORIGINAL: VROCK SE

I noticed that their site does not have a 110" listed yet. Must not have a base map for them yet either Huh?
And watch the example on their site, it tunes plus or minus 20%.
Is that the limit for the system, 20%???????

I thought the stock ECM would adjust 20-25%

Shame it costs so dang much!
Compared to what???

For discussion purposes, let's compare the TMax to a popular tuning solution used by many of the forum members here, the H-D SERT.

$380 to purchase a SERT from Zanotti or other discount dealer. (MSRP of $459 - 20% + shipping)
+
$30 for a cable set to connect the SERT to the bike. (Or pay the dealer an hour or more to install the closest matching base map.)
+
$300 for (1) dyno tune (May be cheaper where you live and hopefully the tuner gets it right the first time.)
------------
$710 This amount increases to at least $839 if it is dealer purchased and installed.
-or-
$869 To get a brand new Gen-II TMax w/Autotune (refurbished Gen-I units with full warrantee are available for $729)
------------
$159 is the "upfront" price difference between the two systems - not enough to pay for even (1) more dyno tune.
$19 is the only difference in the case of the refurbished unit.

Hey.. next year you hit a nice Lotto scratch off game and decide to trade-in your old bike on a new one!

$710 or more to buy, install, and tune another SERT, because H-D technology has welded the old one to the old bike and it can't be reused.

$0.00 is the total cost to move a TMax to your new bike. (Does not include the 15 minutes of your time required to install a new base map.)

Even a PC-III with a couple of dyno tunes exceeds the price of a TMax.

Don't make the common mistake of confusing the "upfront" cost with the "total cost of ownership."
Yeah.. On the surface, $280 for a PC-III certainly looks a lot less expensive than the $730 for a Gen-I TMax.

BUT.....
The real difference with the TMax is that once it's purchased, the expense is done.
Mod away to whatever extent that your wallet will allow. Change AC, pipes, cams, heads, jugs, pistons, whatever..
TMax, with the appropriate base map and AutoTune, will completely adjust to the new setup within 50 to 100 miles of riding.

On the other hand, with the PC-III and the other devices like it, the additional expenses are only just beginning.

A Shame it costs so dang much!??.... With all of the cost factors considered, you be the judge.

Is anyone here running this system and if so how do you like it? Only thing making me a bit leary of getting this is what BH said about closed loop technology still needing to come a long way.

I've had the tmax on my 07 sg since oct. took two long trips great fuel mileage and rideabilty
now I'm installing a Zippers 120" kit was gonna use there 117" with the stock 07 stroker crank but after a lil research I found out the 07 crank is not the same as the S.E. crank and won't hold up to the added power

Just checked w/ Drag Spec online, their MSRP is $869.00 and they are out until 02/19.

A price of $730.00 would be a good deal.
