here we are another riding season ahead all last year i had no radio because the fuse keeps blowing. i just reviewed this old thread and am going to try again to find the short. when my fairing is at the painters.

 

I had the same problem with the memory fuse if I remember right. Like a couple others here it was in my harness where it goes near the fairing bracket on the right side of the bike.

 

Thanks for the help. did you find it by cutting the insulation open ,moving the wires around in the area ? how did you discover it ,was it broken scraped shorted or what ? thanks

 

When I moved it around, the bright copper color caught my attention. It was rubbed raw right where it goes past the support bracket and was touching the bracket. Right through the outer covering and the wire insulation.
