Default Lowers Advice

I'm looking for some advice about lowers. I had an 02 Road Glide with a built 95", always had non vented lowers on and managed to stack up 67k miles on it. With no real issues. Now I have a 2010 CVO Street Glide and I want to put vented lowers on with a speaker combo, but have heard and read a lot of horror stories about lowers and the heat with a 110. I have an aftermarket header pipe so the cat is gone as well.

Is this a manageable issue?

the lowers tend to channel the heat more on the rider but the motor runs cooler u just feel the heat being removed.run my lowers year round a good tune and exhaust and u should be good.

I just bought lowers for mine for the same reason. I've got some buddies the pull the vent completely out when it's hot and they say that it helps what they feel.

well like every thing else feelings seem to go both ways but the majority seem to think they are designed to be on and help push air on the motor and helps cool it , mine stay on year round

They come stock on my 12 and they have vents that slide open to different degrees. No issues that I know of.
