Regardless of who's rule or policy it is, they have the product and the right to limit quanities or refuse sale to anybody. THIS is the American way. What does it cost you in the long run, another couple of trips to the dealer and of course all the money that you spend while there on the additional trips. Suck it up. Why are you trying to save a couple of bucks on oil when you probably spent in excess of 25K on the machine?

K&N Oil Filters, and Aftermarket 100% pure synthetic oil.

Avoid the MOCO oil and filters.

Simple solution. Don't buy from them if you don't like how they do business.

I order directly from Amsoil and could get a 55 gallon drum if I wanted.

Just before the first of the year, I had an order put together, odd and ends and 2 oil filters. They had the free shipping for order over $250 and also a shipping special for free shipping for tech manuals. The total came to around $280 with everything included, but when I went to "check-out" there was a shipping charge. I read more closely that the conditions for shipping, and the tech manuals could not be part of another order for the free shipping on other things. So I added 3 more filters, brought the "non tech manual total" to over $250, and the shipping charges went away.

Problem solved. Guess I must be hoarding oil filters for when the great filter shortage hits.

BTW; I don't use syn3, nor will I. Well maybe if someone gave me some.

Chunker,

Same thing just happened to me, as the service manual, with it's already free shipping, pushed me over $250, but because of it, I got charged $9.99 shipping.

I e-mailed Bill Sparks and he refunded the shipping charge within the hour, said it was a bug in the system.

I'm very, very happy with the service and prices I get from LSHD. Anything I don't mind waiting for, I just order from them.

Lakeshore is about the only Harley dealer I would do online business with for parts. Like said before though, buy different oil and filters. I dont use the Harley brand anymore for oil
