Default Good Audio for my SG

The stock speakers on the SG sucks so I went with the upgraded Boom speakers. Guess what, they suck too. They're not good for loud volume.

I just ordered the HogTunes tweeter. But my goal is crisp sound, deep bass and good power. I know that's a lot to ask for a fairing setup.

I know I want to upgrade, (again) with the Rockford fosgate PBR300x2 (Punch) amp. Can I get to my goal with the HD Boom speakers, tweeters and Punch amp or would I need to change my fairing speakers?

I'm not interested in adding speakers to my bags. I want to keep them in the fairing. Thanks all!

After many hours of reading everyones input on this subject I decided on a Soundstream pn 4.520 with a set of Polk MM651 6.5 speakers. Stay tuned as I should have them installed in the next couple of days. I was able to purchase everything needed for the install for $300.

ARC or JL amps and Focal, Hertz or Polk speakers are a good start.

Get a Rockford fosgate 300 x 2 amp ($134 on eBay) and J&M rokker XTC 7.25's ($259 on eBay iNcl speaker mounts and fairing bass dampening pads) and rock on! Easy install and exceptional performance for less than $400.

Best results are to replace your stock stereo. I had same issue went with different speakers, amps, nothing really impressed me or made me feel a big difference until my stock stereo went out. I replaced with a Sony aftermarket and BIG difference. The stock stereos suck.

This Memphis setup would give you a super clean sound and bass as good as it gets from a fairing.

I like the Focal 6.5's I have in the fairing. They are being pushed by pbr300x4. Like already said change out the heat unit. I am glad I did
