You can also change out the fork springs/innards in order to balance the rake. This will also improve handling and ride.

Hey Joe, yea I already priced the whole set at Lakeshore. Funny thing is I was watching a few used sets on ebay that went for the same price you can get new at Lakeshore.......go figure.

Now just thinking to go with the contrast on front for now, might just buy it new from here since the used prices are so high

About a year ago, there were some posts where, unfortunately, the chrome was peeling off the contrast agitator wheel in places.

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...e-peeling.html

That issue may have been resolved by now, but that's one of the reasons I was going all chrome (besides I like the all chrome).

The contrast wheel I touched and felt yesterday still has what I would call a rough transition between the black paint and the chrome surfaces. But that also exists on my stock limited wheels where the black and chrome meets. Mine stockers have not peeled... yet. I hope they resolved the peeling problem on the contrast Agitators.

The contrast 19" wheel is less money than the chrome model, and you can get those at Lake Shore for $475.96. Contrast polished rotors remain at the same price as the chrome polished Agitator rotors.

I have an 03 Ultra with 18" Agitator (130/70/18) and stock 16 (MU6518) out back. Only ridden it once but seemed good.

if you use the stock dunlop tires, then the overall height of the 16, 17, 18 and 19 in front tires is virtually identical.

which means that using the 19 up front with your stock 16 rear would not change the rake measurements.

Skratch...good info. Wonder why it is that if you want to go with an Agitator on the rear, HD wants to install an 18" if you have a 19" Agitator on the front? I would have thought it would have been a safety thing to preserve the rake...but?
