Default Contrast Chrome Agitator... which rotors?

I am lusting for a 19 inch Agitator rim but I am on a budget (***** boss cut my ot). What rotors would look best on a big blue pearl SG with chrome front forks. If you guys have pics that would be great if you can post them. Oh btw would it look tacky if I just install the front rim until I can afford the back rim. Thoughts...fire away! Thanks BV

You will have to get the HD rotors made for the Agitator wheels. I would get the chromed rotors...I believe they are around $189.95 each - part # 41500007 and 41500008 left and right. Since you are putting them on a SG I think doing the front only for now would be fine, really can't see the rear. I have the polished rotors and think it gives a good contrast with a dark color bike.

Many do just the front wheel and are fine with it but I just could not do it. Even if you don't see much of the back wheel I would still know it was not done and that would drive me nuts so I did both and am very happy with the results. To each their own.

If your going contrast then get the chrome and black. I have Agitators on the front only right now and am cool with it. I picked up a chrome rear mag cheap for the rear that I'll be throwing on this winter.

My bike had the polished rotors originally on it but they got powder coated black shortly after. Even on a blue bike I think the black rotors would look better. In my pics you can see my stock rear wheel. I put a before and after up of the bike with different rotors. The polished just looked out of place up there.

One of the guys here I know has a roadking with the same wheel setup with the 18" rear and it looks alot better than the stocker in the back. I am also lowered 3" to cover it up more. Hopefully I can get to the dealer to get my rear ordered and installed in the next few weeks.

I have the polished rotors on mine - would probably look good on your wheels too. Good luck.

EDIT: I think HD has a couple spiders to choose from as well, I went with the chrome. You could mix and match if you want.

If you are soon to go to the 19" agitator, then don't go out and buy new rotors for your current wheels. Agitators require a specially designed rotor just for the Agitator bolt type and pattern. So save for the Agitator, then get it all at once.

I saw several bikes with Agitators yesterday. Several combinations of chrome wheels with chrome polished rotors, chrome wheels with contrast rotors, contrast wheels with chrome rotors, and contrast wheels with contrast rotors.

And you know what?

They all looked damn good!! There is no way to screw this up!!

I have the black rotors and like the way it looks so far with the stock lower legs but I am thinking about changing them, just not sure for yet on which direction.
