Default Shock Travel ?

OK, how often do you think your shocks will completley fully extend while riding?

Reason being, I'm running JRI 13" shocks and when I installed the MGS Duals, the right muffler was very, very close and almost hitting the axle. This was with the bike on the lift and the shock completley extended.

MGS sent me 1/2" chrome spacers to lower the muffler to give additional space but now looking at the back of the bike, it looks like crap with the mufflers hanging down 1/2" from the hangers.

Your stock shocks are 13" exactly & the JRI are exactly 13". Your swing arm can not drop down any more than when the wheel is off of the ground. The shock at that point are as long as it ever will get, the same as a OEM 13" air shock. How can your shocks get any longer than what you already have with the wheel off of the ground?

I believe if your lucky about 2" (stock) on the SG's but Howard would have to give you the exact numbers.

Doesn't really matter what the stock shock travel is! The benefit of using Ohlins shocks is that they have far superior damping. That means that they deal with any bump in a more controlled way and with shorter compression than a stock shock can.

Howard will explain all in greater detail and in a way that enables you to chose the most suitable version for you.
