have heard that the factory HD GPS doesn't give a lot of features for the cost. You'd be better to buy a Garmin or some of the others mentioned on this board. I have a garmin 2610 with a 2 GB memory stick. it came with a CD that I load the entire US onto from my home computer. only have to do it once since the 2GB stick will hold the entire US. There is no additional cost (like a sat radio has). The only additonal cost is to update the CD if you choose at a later date. I haven't done so in 6 years, since the majority of the roads in the US haven't changed.
I bought a mount from cyclegadgets that i mount the GPS on my handlebar. I have a small earphone that i have attached to it and my helmet. Leaves the aux port on my radio free to plug in my sat radio.

You can forget listening to CD's while the built in HD unit is working. You have to have a source disk in the player while using the GPS which is a simple turn only screen display. I opted for the HD Conquest with fairing mount. Not only is it cheaper, but I can use it on my other bike, in my car, or just while walking around. If you don't want the HD dealers already built in, it's the same unit as the Garmin Quest II.
