All cams are a compromise, you can't have it all unless you have variable valve timing, that's why the new cars can have as much lo w end tq & still achieve the hp #s they have now. If you want a cam that will work well when you decide to port the heads you'll have to give up a little tq down low now or a little hp up high later. With that said my recommendation would be Andrews 54s or 57s, or Woods 555s, possibly with a 4* cam gear to give you a little more tq until you do the heads.

But I'm not a fan of the 4* gear. Go for less cam instead. the 57 or 555 are great choices in a stage 1 103 imho.

I just went through this with my 2013 FLTRX. In my research what kept coming up was:

Woods 222
TMan 555TQ
Cycle Rama 575

I went with the Cycle Rama 575. Like you the only engine modifications I had was a 2:1 Dragula, SE Heavy Breather A/C, and TTS.

SE 255 made for your ride by those that built it they work well none of the issue with tuning. Bike retain more value.
RG and RGU rock .

The 255s were made for the EPA, some guys love them, most that have tried something else not so much. The biggest thing is you need to decide what your end goal is. What works best at a stage 2 isn't going to be the best at stage 4. If you can swing it, it's best & cheapest to do the build only once, since a lot of the labor costs overlap. I know that's not possible for everybody, but at least have an end goal in mind when you start.

I've got my eye on the TW-222. Looks like a TQ monster down low and runs out nicely on top. It also looks like you can add heads to it if you need more HP on the top end.

Good luck.
