Default soundstream amp picasso nano = poor radio reception

I installed the soundstream pn4.520 based on recs from others on this forum. I was very disappointed w/radio reception. Today I switched it out for a RF 300x 2. It is just as loud and clear and no radio interference. My advice stay clear of the class D amplifier if you like listening to fm am or wb as the class D or at least sounstream class D will ruin your reception.

What head unit and antenna are you using? My 4.520D doesn't seem to have affected my FM reception with the Sony HU and the stock antenna relocated inside the fairing.

Really? Man how many threads you gonna start with this issue that YOU seem to be having.

As I told you before in your many other posts about this, the switching outputs in ANY class D amp will interfere with FM reception to some point or another if it's close to the radio. Its just the way it is. I have the sony headunit and notice NO problems whatsoever and I see Walt posted above with the same results after we installed his system yesterday.

That RF amp is NO WHERE near the quality or power of the SS amp. And when your RF amp is sitting there putting out enough heat to fry an egg on, my SS is not even warm to the touch.

HID headlamps will do the same thing. Do you have one of these on your bike?

Put the amp up for sale and be on your way man..
