Ultra Tour-Pak wiring question

Ultra Tour-Pak wiring question
I scored an Ultra Tour-Pak off of eBay painted the same color as my bike. It's the ultra version with all wiring intact including connectors. Is everything I need to hook it up to my StreetGlide already on my harness, or will I need to buy anything? Will I have to have my radio updated at all to power the rear speakers? (I do not care if the volume/mode switches on the speaker pods control anything, and I would prefer that not control anything)
Thanks,

well you have a few things here.
1.) antenna(s). you'll need to run your wires into the tourpak for that.
2.) wiring, I do believe you have what you need under the seat already
3.) rear speakers. If you haven't already, yes you'll need to have the radio flashed to accomodate the rear speakers

Added a King Tour-Pak to my Street Glide, so I can tell you the following for a fact:
1. Antenna wire is long enough to reach the "new" location on the back of the Tour-Pak. You'll find the extra length coiled up, probably behind the left side cover.
2. The connector that the Tour-Pak lights plug into is present on your Street Glide. Problem is, on the Street Glide the tri-bar light on the bottom of the rear fender is using that connector. So, you'll need to splice or run off the accessory connector under the seat.
3. Radio does not need to be updated to run the rear speakers. The pinouts are already hot. Just need to do the wiring. Several helpful and detailed threads on how to do that inexpensively (i.e., without buying the Ultra overlay wiring harness). Only thing a flash is needed for is turning on the "fader" function in your radio. If you're fine with fronts and rears both playing equally loud, you're good to go.
4. The passenger controls on the speaker pods are of no use on your bike. They mostly control passenger headset functions on an Ultra, which you don't have.

I beleive harley sells an ultra radio harness if you want to go that route, just do a search and you can get a parn number.
I just addded an amp and ran my own wires to the rear and it works fine. They also have venders that can sell you harnesses that plug in inline so you don't have to splice.
Here's the cables I used, it says for 2010 and newer SG so your 09 might use the standard square plug like the ultras do.

These guys could help if you have any questions.
Is is nice having a tourpack for when you want it and not having it when you don't need it!

What I did was to make a "Y" harness that split the connection under the side cover. Made it a Plug-N-Play item.
One end plug the Rear Fascia. The other is for the Tour Pak.
To just run just the rear speakers, you will need two harnesses. You will need the Non-Ultra Overlay Harness (Part No. 70169-06). It plugs into the radio and gives the connections for any radio accessory (speakers, CB, I-Pod). Then if you just want to use the rear speakers, get the Rear speaker harness (Part No. 77157-06). They plug into the marked plugs on the Non-Ultra harness. Then run them to under the seat. The speakers plug into the harness.
This will give you the option to add anything later, if the desire arises.
