Engine and primairy oil change, filter all simple. Fuel filter. Only tricky bit might be the brake fluid. Make sure it is either tested or replaced. Brake fluid is hygroscopic and can do serious damage to your bike and possibly your life!
If you have registered your bike on the HD website you can log in and simply find the service schedule for your bike.

I'm at the 10K service now and went through the owner's manual list. Looks like oil and primary fluids replacement and steering head bearing lube. All the rest is inspect, tighten etc. Dealer wants about $300. I'm out of my warranty and am considering doing the fluids myself (it's really pretty damn easy).
So, am I crazy to bail on the crazy dealer price? Do they really do all those inspections or just wall job it and charge me?
Struggling with this one.

I'm going to say it depends on the dealer and or the tech as to whether they actually do each and every step. The only way you will know it was done right is to do it yourself. None of it is all that difficult and if you follow the service manual, you will gain a better understanding of your ride than you ever had before... while saving some coin. If you get stumped, there are a lot of pretty savvy folks on this forum always willing to help you out.

In the process of doing my 10k this weekend, there is really nothing to it. Like others said its all spelled out in the manual and it gives you a chance to look over the bike on your own. Just never trusted the dealer techs to actually check all of the items listed so why not do it yourself. If I do run into anything that's a warranty item then back to the dealer.

I just had mine done at the dealer for a whopping $390. They changed plugs, adjusted the steering head, replaced warped front rotors (no charge), and did all of the other stuff. Took them about 3 hours. I am still under warranty and the dealer has been great to me. I think it was worth the money.
