Default Side covers - can they be bought?

I have a 2007 FLHX. The side covers - one covers the ECM, the other covers the fuse block - are rubbed raw on the tops from the original 2-up seat resting on them.

I have begun the process of sanding the tops down and recoating them with OEM paint and clearcoat.

Can these covers be ordered brand new, already painted the factory color of the bike? Are they expensive?

Thks

You can get them already painted, you just need the paint code.

They pop up regularly on eBay. Harley wants a lot of $$$ for them. Depending on the color of your bike it may be even cheaper to have them repainted.

When you get them completed, add these:

48419-04 WEAR PAD side cover - right (clear) $19.00
48420-04 WEAR PAD side cover - left (clear) $19.00

The CVO bikes came with these clear film covers on the tops of the covers. Prevents the paint from rubbing the seat.

I would take the ones you have off and take to a good painter. Should be less than $100.

The side covers for my 2008 Road glide were $129.00 painted in sunglow red. They maybe a bit higher now.
