What's the Best GPS for Street Glide?

RE: What's the Best GPS for Street Glide?
I have the quest 2 (same unit as the HD black one) and love it. Its not to big and not flashy like the sumo and easy to use. I use it in my car, hunting and bike! its portable and has a nice neoprin carry case for clipping to your bag or belt when outdoors.
You can update the unit with the POI for HD dealers easily too. it comes off and goes in a jacket when you arrive (so you dont worry about theft). can be programmed in the resturant for your next location (it works even when out of the base) and then just clip it back in the mount and your off!
I have used it last year on a handlebar mount but will be installing the fairing mount from HD this spring.

I have been looking at the choices ofGPS unitsfor a long time too and decided when I get one I like the Zumo as do others here. There is specific Zumo forum I lurk on and tells a great deal on how to operate it, changes, fixes etc. The mount most of the Zumo bike riders use on that forum is the TechMount. Below are the two sites. Hope this helps your decision.

You should know that a GPS is an old person's MTV. If you must have one, please consider also an "I [sm=smiley28.gif] my grandchildren" bumper sticker.

RE: What's the Best GPS for Street Glide?
Hello, we just purchased a 2610 with a 128 mb card, and downloading Texas used 105mb.Does anyone have info on whereto find a 1 gigcard for this unit. Garmins site and ebay seller, where we purchased the unit, says 256mb is the largest avaialable for this unit.
Any help is greatly appreciated. We read most posts daily but this is the first time weve posted. GREAT SITE with excellent information and people!!

Well personally I would suggest
1. a pilots knee pad table
2. a good map of area you're going to be in
3. A good compass.
See I write down the routes and where I need to turn and if left or right.
Or I download it from the 'net.
Clip it to the knee pad and just go.
On the alternative you could just get on the bike and ride, with no particular destination in mind.
That way you're never lost.
And a heck of a lot cheaper!
