New brakes is it possible??

WOW! Someone's able to think outside the box.
As a hiring manager for a large, high tech company, I use to ask..."can oranges could be grown at the north pole..."
I was amazed at the number of applicants that said..."N0!"
I would immediately end the interview as I knew that applicant had a very limited view on what was possible and what wasn't.
Our divisional VP would laugh and then remind us that the world needed trash collectors too.

Possible and not ridiculously stupid are 2 different things. I would argue that it is not possible to grow oranges in the north pole in any practical way.
In any company you need some people to stop stupid things. (and stupid interview questions)
This is why taxpayers are on the hook for paying a $7500 subsidy for each GM Volt. I and why we have ethanol. And soon a band on 'assault weapons'
I work for a large technology company, and and here's how I would think out of the box:
For less money and time, and sell or trade the bike for one that has ABS and move on. This approach has the benefit of the allowing more time to ride an spending less time dicking around with brakes.

The line between possible and practical is wide and gray. Differing points of view are desirable, and necessary, even in a large company. My career was in the Aerospace industry and these types of debates were common.
In the case of the OPs original question my response would be this... If you could find a wrecked/stolen/damaged late model ABS bike with everything needed cheaply, then scavenging all the needed items for installation onto your bike is a practical solution, if you are going to do the work yourself. If you are going to pay someone to do the work, then it becomes less practical. If you had to go out and buy new, everything needed, it really becomes impractical.
Bottom line - It boils down to dollars, cents, and time/effort. Is it worth it? That's for each individual to decide.

The same analogy holds true to your original question. Can it be done ? Absolutely. Is it the most cost effective way to get anti-lock brakes on a motorcycle. I'm sure it isn't. It would be much cheaper to buy a bike that already has them.
There is something to be said for pragmatism.
