Default SE pro tuner, what does it take to do myself

I have all the parts for my Stage 1 upgrade, Monster ovals, V&H Dresser Duals, SE AC Backplate, K&N High flow Filter. Now I am looking for a tuner that isnt going to break the bank but will flash my ECM. I have found the SE Pro tuner for sale at a good price but was wondering, what I need to do it myself and is it that difficult to do with out a dyno?

I am a computer geek by trade and think I can work through it but just wanted some advice.

Thanks
Cfave

The cables to connect your pc/tuner/ecm are usually not included when you buy an SE tuner, or at least they didn't used to be. Dennis Kirk used to have them at as good of a price as I could find anywhere.

The SERT I used to have had a CD with pages of instuctions and information on tuning.

I had the SE pro Super tuner on my 2011 RKC when I bought it brand new. I went with the PowerVision from Fuelmoto when i had TW222 cams installed.

Do yourself a favor & look at dobeck:

Simple, works great, cheap (especially with the huge veterans discount they give) & it's all you really need with a stage 1 upgrade.

Get yourself a power vision by dynojet, two great supports from dynojet and also Jamie at Fuel moto, I think Jamie is also running a special at this time. No need for dyno tune tell Jamie what you are putting on the bike and a map will be already loaded. Good for and future add on you might want to do later cant beat this system

It couldn't be half as hard to figure out as the TTS. If I printed out the PDF users manual for the tuner it would be thicker than my back tire.

Cool

The problem with the SE tuner, as I've read on HDForum, is everytime you do a mod or a tweak you have to pay the MoCo to do it. The DynoJet lets you do it yourself. AND you can't beat Fuelmoto's prices and support.
