I like the look of the 2 into 2 but I'm the type of guy who will not sacrifice performance for looks, couldn't really find any definitive info online

with what you have, you are doing pretty good- and extra expenses will be
"just for looks"

As referenced above, you have the 2009 no cat headers. the large volume of the header system and the mufflers allows for good power from idle to rev limit.

a "more open" pipe may give a little more power at 5500 rpm sacrificing 2500 rpm

a 2 into 1 may give a little more power at lower rpms ( torque)

so it really comes down to "do you want to spend money for marginal performances changes ?

if looks are a priority, then do so.

We perform a lot of Dyno Tuning and here is a quick rundown of what is performance oriented. We like the D&D for 2 into 1 options. The Vance & Hines Power Duals are the best header pipe out of all the ones we have tried. We like to see them matched up w/ the V&H Monster Series or Hi Output, S&S Mufflers, or Rinehart. For true duals we recommend the Rinehart Classic Duals.

I helped a buddy throw the MGS True Duals kit on his '13 SG and I now want one for my EG. The paperwork and their testing showed improvements and the butt dyno totally agreed. Plus, having called them during the install for a quick clarification question and also calling them regarding my bike their customer service has been top notch in my book. Now I just need to find the $$

IMHO a cam change would be a much better bang for the buck in sound and performance for not much /if any more dollars .
Good advice. I have a 09 FLHP with a 103, kept stock headers with 4" RH slipons and put in SE255 cams and a SE ventilator Hi-Flo intake. Finished with a stage 2 download. Bike runs great (have over 10k trouble free miles with this setup), no heat problems, no expensive efi controllers to worry about etc.
