Default Chrome caliper mounting bolts

'08 FLHRC (Brembo brakes and ABS)... The Harley Dealership says Harley no longer sells the bolts in chrome. A few searches around the net and my local Fastenal and I'm still not seeing anything other than the big cylinder shape head hex-drive bolts in stainless (forget what they are called at the moment), or the 12 points like I want but they are not the right length (I'm seeing sets with multiple lengths included, mine are all the same size).

What are you guys doing for these after you put on the chrome sliders?

By the way the size is M10x35mm (12 point)- and the Fastenal guy says they are grade 5.

Hot Toppers makes a cover for those that I think looks better than chrome bolts & no worries about the bolt strength, a couple $ each.

I haven't found a suitable chrome replacement yet. After chrome sliders and calipers and I have the shitty mounting bolts too. I tried chrome allens didnt like the look. I've even considered sending mine out to be chromed. I like the looks of the 12points.

Hmmm... thanks. If I didn't just drop a bunch of money into her I would probably spend the $55 for the two kits since that would look best to me personally. Looks like quality stuff.

DDTJGlide I hadn't thought about that, not a bad idea either.

Harley does sell a set of 4 caps for about $25, but I'm not inclines to go that route..

If I had the chrome calipers also, like you do, it would REALLY bug me.

I have an 08 FLHR, got mine from an Ebay dealer. Made by Gardner-Wescott. Pretty sure they are the same as the VRod Brembo set.

Call Gardner-Westcott, tell them what your working on and they will send you the correct chrome bolts for the calibers. I did the same thing about 4 years ago.
