Good deal for bars install ?
ok, so local dealer Ive bought stuff from in the past, had service stuff done, etc. told me they can do 14'' apes install with everything (sent me an itemized list) I would possibly need for an OTD cost of 1k. Im not mechanically inclined and dont have a lot of time due to my job. Seems good but am I just wanting to see it that way

It does sound high, but depending on the bars and cable types at the HD dealer, thats not much more than i would expext. Think about it
A nice set of bars carlini/yaffe - $300+
Braided cables and brake lines - $200
Wiring Kit - $50?
A few hours of labor at HD dealer - $300+
Youre over $800 already..
Given these are estimates for top of the line parts, and $90/hr labor (i think thats what my local dealer charges). It still adds up quick. There might be a little money to save by finding/buying the parts yourself and going to an indy shop... Theres a LOT of money to be saved by doing the install yourself. Theres tons of threads/videos/tutorials out there and id give it 4/5 hours start to finish for a novice. I went with some "no name" bars on my eg and installed them myself with vinyl cables, think i spent $250-$300
