As you can see in the pic tj316 has the older version of the friction ring with the dots on it.

Porkchopsd: I just had the older version installed a few days ago. Bought them because I got a good deal. They don't even match my wheel but I don't care because I'm into function over looks and it was an offer I couldn't refuse. Needless to say, I love them! Check out my review I posted today.

BTW, I like that seat, what kind is it?

Streetrunner, I am with you, I'll take better function over looks everytime! My seat is a stock SG seat recovered in Buffalo hide by Danny Grey, one of the first modification I did and still love it.

They look great! The grooved version is supposed to work better in the wet. I have these on my bike too. The Millenium design in all black. Thanks for your business and Paul takes care of business at Lyndall which is why we like to work with him.

I bought three of the old ones with the dimples from you guys. Is it possible to get them upgraded to the newer style?

Thanks. I appreciate that, and this is one of many reasons I always look to you guys first when it comes to the type of parts you carry. Cheers.

hogpro sorry in advance for reviving a year old thread. This is the first lead my exhaustive internet/phone call rotor search has yielded. I have been trying unsuccessfully to locate one of old the dot style friction rings or full rotors so I can go from a single to duel front brake set up

I have a 11.8" black millennium 20 spoke on my Dyna and need to find one more, but all the venders I called only have the new style in stock and i don't want to mix and match friction rings or have to re-buy 3 brand new ones to have a matched set. If you have any left overs or or have a customer or coworker that wants to sell off one of the old friction rings or rotors to upgrade to the new style please let me know here or in a pm
any help you give would be much appreciated

Thanks,
PB

PB, I'll look into this in the morning. It is best to give me a call to remind me as I will probably not remember this thread first thing. (818)886-6545. I don;t think we have any old friction rings around but I will dig around and see for sure. I'll also check with Paul at Lyndall and see if he might have some hiding in a dark corner.

Thanks for the fast response, who do i ask for tomorrow when i call?
Also I would at this point even take a used rotor or disassemble another style to just get the friction ring, then buy the correct carrier to match what I have.
Thanks,
Pete
