Default Road Glide Mods (cams etc)

Hey I just bought a 2005 Road Glide and want to do some upgrades to it. It has Thunderheader on it but otherwise it is a stock motor. I am thinking of doing the S&S 97 big bore with easy start cams and a high-flow air intake and a Race Tuner. I am hoping that this will get me 100HP and good torque.

Any sugestion on how to get that kind of power out of my bike?

Thanks!!

I used the S&S 97" kit on a 2005 Road King, and really liked it. I didn't get the kind of HP that you're looking for, but I didn't so any head work. Therein may be the difference. Others will likely be able to help you more than I can, but as I remember right I ended up with low to mid 90's as far as HP went. Can't really rememeber. I did like the results though, with the S&S 97' big bore.

Good luck to you.

Call these guys, they'll get you there if you do the big-bore kit, fuel management system, air cleaner, and head work. www.fuelmotousa.com.

I don't think you're going to get to close to 100 hp either. You're going to need more inches, or more cam, or more stroke. I'm running 107 with S&S 585GEZ cams and worked heads and I'm only getting 121h/132t. It's a great ride though. A little wheel lift on roll on acceleration. Good deep exhaust tone etc.

+1 You can definitely get the power youre looking for. Like gipper said, a 97" with no head work will get you into the 90s already, higher compression, the right cams, and some headwork will put you over your goal no problem. Let fuelmoto set you up with a good 98" setup and enjoy. You can make as much power as you wallet will allow. If you dont do the headwork, expect to settle for low 90s, which will still be a huge leap in performance from stock.

Heres a 100hp FM 98" with Level B headwork, 10:1, and the stock headpipe..

Another 100hp FM 98" again, level b heads, 10:1
