Default Hammock Seat and Adjustable Rider Backrest

I got the HD Hammock seat for Christmas, and after a few other bike projects, got a chance to get it on the bike.(ultra) After installation I found that it doesn't fit well with my HD adjustable backrest. The back rest needs to be adjusted all the way to the rear just to be slightly acceptable. If I adjust it forward at all it pushes hard on the front of the slot in the seat where it passes though. So much so that you can see under the seat and see the base of the backrest mount. Anyone have/had this problem and how did you fix it?

Some people have drilled a hole 1" towards the front of the mount, to move the mount back 1".
Then they use some sort flat bar to connect the front. It would make it tip back more also.
Pictures are on here somewhere.
I just live with it.

It hasn't caused any damage to your hammock? I looks to me like its going to rub on the seat a cause wear marks and holes....
