07 SG Throttle out of control
Rode bike today was riding fine, then all of sudden throttle was not responding correctly. Pulled over off FWY looked over bike and noticed throttle stop screw was turned all the way UP, causing bike to rev over 4K rpm. Turned it backed down with finger from the back side of air cleaner and back to normal. Has anyone experience this screw moving by itself? Do I need to be concerned with this? I was going to loctite this in place.
07 SG with V&H true duals, stage I, and Power commander. Should I take this into dealer?

I have a feeling you're dealing with this https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...le-issues.html
Kinda inconclusive, but the problem is generally on the 07's only.

Had the same thing happen to a friends 07 RG this past summer. Got it back to my house, unscrewed the stop screw, put red loctite on it, set the tach to right below 1000 and it was good to go. It was a mechanical malfunction not electrical so it got a mechanical fix. It ran perfectly all they way thru Fall when he traded it for a 13.

Sure that will get you close. There will be a fairly broad area of adjustment where the bike will idle at 1000 rpm. Air flow through the tb at idle is controlled by the throttle blade opening and the iac motor. Setting the throttle blade to see the correct amont of iac steps just makes sure the iac has the range to adjust. Very easy to adjust it correctly.
