Besides the latches and hinges, what is the difference between 1992 and 1993 FLHS saddle bags. I am looking to extend mine on my "92, and can only find extensions for 93+. Are the bottoms the same on these bags or are there diffencences.

 

the oil tank moved under the tranny in 1993- so the right bag is way different 92 vs 93.

as are side covers.

There are several threads on putting 1993 and later bags on the 1992 and earlier chassis ... it is a lot of work but it may be worth the effort ... do a search ... and good luck on your project Brother.

 

The battery intrudes into the right saddle bag on the pre 93 Electra Glide and Road Glide models. It isn't an easy conversion.

 

Had a 92 and a 93. Oil tank and battery were both relocated so sidecovers are different fit as well as the bags. Good luck if you do the project.
