Default More affordable detachable tour pak?

Is there a cheaper way to make the tour pak detachable on an ultra limited? The HD kit seems way to steep!

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...etachable.html. This is for the pre -09 models, but you could still make your own connections. You will still have to get the detachable hardware and attachment plate.

Is the only hardware option the Harley kit? That's what I'm trying to avoid.

I don't know about prices..but FBI makes one which I think looks better.

http://store.fatbaggers.com/retrmofortop.html

if you look around you can get it cheaper..they also make a kit for the backrest also(which I have).

If you're not familiar with them, there are several online H-D parts discounters where you can save around 20% off retail ... depending on cost of item, and shipping, it will almost always save you quite a bit ...

Ones I have used personally are Surdye.com, LSHD1.com and Newcastle HD (successor to Zanotti Motor) ...
