Default Tour Pack Organizers

Does anyone have those Tour pack organizers with all the pouches, either the one that goes on the underside of the lid or the one that goes around the edge of the bottom part. Do they stay attached? How do they work?

I like mine. I used 3M double-sided tape to attach it and haven't had any problems.

Got them, like them, didn't stay attached with the double sided tape. (after one year)
Cleaned them up again and applied some Goop. Stuck now.
I like the small items being easily found in the same place every time.
My favorite is my clip on sunglasses in there.

Have had one on our '03 and one installed on the new '12, did not trust the sticky tape so added longer bolts to the Pak rack mounts and put the bolts with fender washers thru the organizer back, no issues except too much wife stuff in a TP bag and gets kinda tight to close the lid.

I have the ones in the lid and like them. I have only had them for a few months and they are still stuck. Make sure you clean the lid with alcohol before installing.

I have the wrap around version. My trunk being a CVO is lined with felt material. So the Velcro sticks to the felt sides, not perfect, but not an issue either.

My organizer came with plenty of Velcro, however I only used the Velcro half that's attached to the organizer then attached to the felt material.

I would recommend.

I have the Tour Pack lid organizer and like it a lot. But, the adhesive strips don't hold well. I went to Home Depot and bought some extra heavy duty industrial strength velcro tape. Applied it to the tour pack lid and to the organizer, and now it holds well. Plus if for any reason I want to remove it, because of the velcro, now I can. Like when I bought a new bike, I just pulled it off and did the same process to my new bikes tour pack.

I started out with the lid organizer.. I don't have a tourpak rack so I was dependent on the velcro alone to hold it in place. I soon became tired of having to re-fasten it to the lid, and my stuff falling out of the pockets.. I also had clearance issues when traveling with a bag in the tourpak.. I got the wrap around version and I'm happy with it. The lid organizer went on the shelf with all the other "stuff" I no longer have any use for.

Ok, I know this is a bit old, but I was researching the tour pak organizers and saw your Z/28 and just had to tell you it looks just like my old wannabe.
Nice car, do you still have it?
