I dropped to a 30T and used a Gates PC-139-1. I believe it is 1 tooth shorter in length.

Barstock between cam and bump on swingarm is what I used. I tacked it at top and bottom with my mig welder and painted it. I used the 30t triglide pulley and kept my stock belt. I used an air end-grinder to elongate the slot in the swingarm about 1/4'' so I could keep the stock belt. I saved money and felt like this is important if traveling and break a belt. Total cost was less than a hundred bucks. I love the way it's geared now. This is the best mod for the money that I have done. Hope this helps. Allyn

32 tooth pulley= 140 belt
30 tooth pulley= 139 belt

31 tooth pulley= Something in between??? lol

I'm thinking harder about modifying the cam adjusters. I only need maybe a 1/8" or so. Have to check if I have room in the swingarm for the axle to slide back a little more.

Talking 31 Tooth sprocket

Either way, block or modify the cams, you are going to have to remove some in the back of the swingarm slots, a barrel cutter on a diegrinder will do this nicely..I did the cam modification, worked fine for me, although either would accomplish the same thing..my thought was that if I decide to go 30 tooth, I could put the blocks in and still use the same belt, replacement on the road reason..stock is easier to find..Scooter

You need a 139 tooth belt. If you did your research on this site the info is here.

dropped 1 tooth on my tranny sprocket. did the same as rhonda and blackjeep. cut the stock from a drill bit about 2 sizes thicker than the cam, cleaned to bare metal then exposy the piece on, then a little paint, never know its there and the bit was big enough that i didn't have to grind the axle slot bigger, still got some adjustment.

Was thinking of goin' to a 31 'cause my '07 RKC is geared too high stock. Will I have the same issue, or is the old style frame different?
