Default Drag Specialties solo seat

Does anyone have a Drag Specialties solo seat, I have a 2013 Street Glide and was thinking about getting one.

I like the looks of them, I really like the fact that the seat hides all of the mounting bolts on the rear of the seat. They look nice and clean installed

Thanks

I have the HD Brawler solo.

before buying a solo, make sure that your stock seat hasn't chewed up the fender by rubbing and scuffing the paint.

the brawler is fine around town.

i use an SG seat for day rides ( up to 6 hours) and an ultra seat when touring.

Speaking of that, is there a reasonable way to prevent the stock seat from scuffing up your fender? With 7000 miles on mu 2012 Ultra, I went with a QD Tour-Pak and wand to be able to swap seats back & forth, but noticed that there is already some scuffing.

I use a couple of stick on foam rubber feets on top of the frame rails to space the seat up and keep the weight off of the fender

right where the crash bars attach, and to the rear of that location.

I also use a thick rubber washer under the seat screw.

so far, so good.

the rubber feets come from home depot in a pack of about 12- in the section with furniture glides

the extra feets go on the bottom of the saddlebag, so when i take the bags off i can set down anywhere with out worrying about the paint

Thanks for the feedback, as far as preventing the scuffing on the fender, 3M sells a clear plastic type of stuff, kinda like window tint film but thicker.
It goes on like window tint. water and a squeege. I had a customizing shop put some on my truck bumper and on the front edge of my hood to keep the rock chips away, the stuff works!!! when spring gets here I am going to have them put some on my bike fender under the seat and on the tank where the seat rubs it.
maybe some on the front fender edges also.

Bought the drag specialties solo for my 11 SG its not meant for long distance its had some quality issues as well minor ones the women like the p pad its nice and thick but narrow .I had one say she liked it better than the stock seat your right its a nice lookin seat.the pad is easily removed and stores nicely in the bags.It was a bit pricey tho

Now that's pretty well the best tip I've ever read on the internet! I'm so **** about scuffing the rr fender, I never want to take anybody on the back. Thanx Mike!
