Default Harley Needs a Mid-Sized Touring Bike

Maybe I'm missing something, but I think that Harley needs to make a mid-sized touring bike. An engine size of around 80 to 88 cubic inches with a front end a little beefier than the Dyna bikes, but not as heavy as the FLH bikes would be nice.

Top it off with a nice windshield and fairing combo with fiberglass saddlebags painted to match and it should make a great touring bike that's a little easier to handle/maneuver around town but would still ride good on the highway.

Yep, this is very similar to the FXR Sport Glide that Harley made during the 1980's, but I would change the styling a little to look more "Harley" like.

I like my EGC, but there are a few occasions when I wish it was just a little lighter in the front end and a few pounds lighter overall. Just ain't as young as I used to be and I'm thinking that a bike that was just a bit more nimble and quicker in the turns and corners would be nice to have. Wishful thinking, I suppose.

Why not a Switchback? Other than the touring frame it has everything you need for a comfy ride while touring. Rubber mounted, removable windshield and bags.

How about a Heritage softail with a few mods like batwing fairing and even hard bags if ya like. Its an excellent all around bike in my opinion! Big enough to be comfortable and have a good ride but yet small and light enough to really enjoy riding!

Your EGC can be more nimble and quicker in the turns and corners if you play with the suspension a little bit.
