Harley Needs a Mid-Sized Touring Bike
Maybe I'm missing something, but I think that Harley needs to make a mid-sized touring bike. An engine size of around 80 to 88 cubic inches with a front end a little beefier than the Dyna bikes, but not as heavy as the FLH bikes would be nice.
Top it off with a nice windshield and fairing combo with fiberglass saddlebags painted to match and it should make a great touring bike that's a little easier to handle/maneuver around town but would still ride good on the highway.
Yep, this is very similar to the FXR Sport Glide that Harley made during the 1980's, but I would change the styling a little to look more "Harley" like.
I like my EGC, but there are a few occasions when I wish it was just a little lighter in the front end and a few pounds lighter overall. Just ain't as young as I used to be and I'm thinking that a bike that was just a bit more nimble and quicker in the turns and corners would be nice to have. Wishful thinking, I suppose.
