No real difference. Just get whatever you like the looks of. There is a difference in filters though, something like a K&N filter is nice, so you can just clean and oil it and reuse it.

The DK Outlaw will not work with your stock cover.

However, the DK Naked Pro Billet is made to use your stock cover.

The S&S Single bore tuned induction system is probably the best. It increases power from top to bottom.Very expensive and some don't like the look, but it gives plenty of leg/knee room.

Like everyone said, they all work about the same. All of them drip blowby oil onto the engine. I have read the heavy breather from HD is the only one that does a better job in this regard. No experience with it personally. If there is a better one out there, please let the OP (and me) know.

There's basically two types of high flow intakes. One with a completely exposed filter, the other uses the stock cover or some sort of "bowl" to cover the filter. The completely exposed filter will flow a little more air than the other. The downside is, that halfway thru the season you will be picking bugs, gravel and other **** out of it. On my previous ride, I ran an open filter for a number of years, but cleaning it got tiring, so I switched to an S&S teardrop type. Needed to drop the main jet by half a size and take out one washer from the needle to get it to run the same as the open configuration.

Its your choice. With the EFI and different maps available, either one is going to perform much better than stock. Good luck with it.

The biggest diff is a viable solution to the blowby drip not being channeled appropriately to the throttle body.....many along with myself have fashioned a tubing routing that works very well. If I were you I would find one that makes rerouting copper tubing for the BB simpler cuz you will be addressing it whether you want to or not. Do a search on oil drips from AC threads to get a point of reff....otherwise, they all breath the same once you get it out of the restricted backplate.

I ran a K&N filter behind the standard Harley ham-can on my last bike (plastic air box gone). Without some form of forced air induction its hard to make more filtered air available to the motor. The rest, IMO, is eyeball candy. I chose to stay with the ham-can. But there are a lot of sweet looking covers out there. Find one you like and go for it!
