2012 Pipes and new Intake..... Dyno???
Hello I am new to the world of biking. Been a snowmobiler for many years. I purchased a 2012 Street Glide, I put 5000 miles on this year and now its time to Play. Question Most of the time I am between 2000 and 3200 rpm I would like to purchase pipes and increase the air intake with no sacrafice of torque in this rpm range. I was considering the Vance and Hines Big Radius 2 into 2 pipes and a Kuryakin High Five Mach 2 air cleaner. Also will the engine need to be dynoed or does my fuel management system have the range to make this improvement on its own. Any other imput on other combinations is also welcome.

The HD motors are set from the factory very lean to pass various emission requirements. By adding an free flowing intake & exhaust you're opening up a closed system. The stock ECM can adapt a little but not for what youre planning. You should consider one of the many aftermarket EFI systems with a complete dyno tune. This will gain you good HP & TQ increases & will run cooler as well. Once you do it, the bike will now be alot more fun to ride.
