Default Black Chrome Wheels

Anyone got pics of an Ultra with these wheels? Or any black chrome (fork legs, etc.) Am thinking of putting them on my Vivid Black Ultra Classic.

A guy I ride with just picked up a set of those that came off a Limited. Paid $100.00 total and the tires that came with have lots of life left to them. They are a vast improvement over stock.

Are those the stock rims for a Limited?

I would think a set of black chromed rotors are needed to set off the wheels...... Are those offered?

A guy on the site had another guy on this site(I won't mention names) who does powder coating do black chrome on some of his stuff but it turned out a funky color of light purple.
Needless to say the guy was a little pissed.

I've always thought that Black Chrome was very cool though and would like to see it myself. I think that it would look great w/my scheme/theme.

They are available. I am curious as to how they look with regular chrome forks and rotors OR black chrome forks and rotors. Have never seen a pic of them mounted on a bike.

I thought so at first but appears to be some black missing. Sure look awfully close. OP ????

I just looked at the Limited on the HD site and sure look like those rims to me.

The Limited was available I believe with chrome, but the ones in my original post are BLACK chrome (have heard it called smoked chrome). They are stock wheels which have been black chrome plated. They are available through several chrome exchange programs.

As far as the purple color goes, I was told by the guy at Impress Plating that BC eventually turns purple from UV exposure and the majority of those that get BC get them redone in bright chrome.
Im fixing up a RK to flip and am thinking of doing the BC, it will look badass for a while at least. Here in Calif it is getting harder to find a reputable plater that does BC because of the enviromental issues.
FWIW check out black fusion coating, its a process of BC and powder coating. See calchrome.com Its $250 a wheel for 9 spoke 16" wheels

I am not looking at powder coating, and the black chrome process is supposed to have greatly improved over the past couple of years.

Anyway, back to my original question, does anyone have pics of an Ultra with black chrome wheels?
