Default Changing shock oil on my SG.....have a question.

Need to know the oil capacity on the 12" shocks?? Is it the same as the 13's?? Searched and searched on here and couldn't find a solid answer. Thanks in advance!!

Best answer I could find when I changed mine was to carefully measure what you drain out and refill with the same amount. It can be a little tricky to get all of the oil to drain which is why it's a good idea to measure what comes out. If you overfill, the ride can be a bit harsh ( ask me how I know ).

I would not rely on measuring the oil that you drain out and it is not the same for 12's and 13's. One set that I did had 2 oz less oil in one side than the other. HERE is a link to my thread on changing the shock oil. There are additional links to threads where I got some of my information as well. I have done 2 sets (12 in and 13 in.) and have been pleased with the results both times. Good Luck, hope it helps.
