Default satin chrome engine covers?

Was at the dealer today and saw a softail fatboy low. The engine covers are what they call satin chrome. Looks very kool to me. Sales guy didn't know what the finish is? I'm guessing powder coat? Anyone know? Might look kool on my blonde motor?

Satin Chrome seems contradicting, I'd like to see that.

primary cover is different touring vs softail lo I played with the thought with my denim roadglide since black powdercoating is waaaay too common nowadays

Thanks but I'd just have mine done if its powder coat. Course if ya want to give them up for 30-40 bucks... but as stated the primary is different anyway?

Yeah, I was thinking black as I'm going black on most of the chrome but this really looked good to me on the black softail I saw. Not a big change from the natural covers, but maybe just enough???

we have a finish very very close to the stock finish, the only thing i can guess on that is it is raw metal just cleared with powder... i personally think that raw metal, brushed, then satin clear powder over that would be awesome!

but we have a powder very close to the stock HD finish
