Made some decisions...107" here I come!
After debating selling/trading for a new model for quite a while, I decided I liked her way too much and put too much into her to do it. So I upgraded to the SE Compensator to get rid of the starting & low idle clunking. Success...wish I had done it sooner. Probably wouldn't have ever considered getting rid of her at all. Was just caught up in the thought I had a 'bad egg'. Since the upgrade, it's been smooth sailing...only problem is that I've been itching so long to make a move, I decided to go ahead with a 107" build...with some extras.
I had been researching 107" big bore kits for some time now. FM and Revolution were the the two that I found to have been the most popular and tested. FM has a sweet package deal and I could have jumped on the holiday special, but after reading and watching videos about the Revolution products, it was a no brainer for me. (Cylinders have thicker walls rather than boring out the OEM's to the max) Actually I'll be taking advantage of the trade-in for the Power Vision w/auto tune in a day or two.
So here's the build...
Revolution 107" Big Bore Kit
S&S 585 Easy Start Cams
CNC Ported/Polished Heads w/upgraded Valves/springs/guides/retainers
SE Hydraulic Lifters
SE Adj Push-rods
Power Vision w/auto tune
Looking forward to it...parts are ordered. I've heard nothing but positive things about all these products...fingers crossed she comes out ok.

update
Well...I went off the deep end and added some things to the list of upgrades while it was being torn down.
SE Cam Plate/Oil Pump
Painted Inner Fairing (seeing it'd be a few weeks waiting on the heads)
12" Chrome Yaffe Monkey Bars/steel braided lines (seeing the fairing was already off)
Color Matched Lower Fairing Speaker pods (seeing the paint was already mixed)
New F/R Metzler ME880's (seeing the front had 16,500 on it and the rear was at 7,000)
I'm not sure I'll recognize her when she comes home! So much for going easy...can't wait to get her back in a week or two!
I'll post pics as I take them...have a few I'll post in a few.
