Default Clutch Adjustment??

I followed the directions on this page https://www.hdforums.com/m_70839/tm.htm but have a question for yall....

I have not had a chance to ride due to the weather but if I start the bike in gear with the clutch pulled it lunges forward. When the bike is running it shifts into 1st and 2nd very smoothly without the normal loud bang. Is the lunging common?

Yes, due to the oil between the clutch plates.

It is adjusted to release to quickly!1 Back it off acouple of turns and start it up. Ease off the clutch until it starts to engage. Adjust it to where you want it to engage!!

My clutch is adjusted correctly and if I try starting in gear it lurches.(with the clutch pulled in.)

Normal.

yup, normal in both my HD's.

Tho if you saw my little Kawi Ninja, that thing would really take off if i hadn't of ridden it for a week. Rule of thumb was always keep hand on the brake the first time from a cold start before u put it into gear.
