Default Brakes

I'm new to the Harley experience, but have riden motorcycles all my life. I own a 2000 ultra classic , and am wondering about possible brake upgrades. The brakes leave alot to be desired. I realize that this a very heavy bike. I'm curious if anyone knows of performance caliper upgrades that will work with this bike. Also someone mentioned changing over to organic pads. Will this make any difference?

Thanks for your help

Much has been written about pre-Brembo brakes. The bottom line is that the pistons in the calipers are prone to getting stuck due to years of road dirt and brake dust. There should be something in the brake section about cleaning the pistons and calipers to return free piston movement getting like new brake performance back. My only experience is with an 08 Road King with the Brembo equipment and the brakes are as light, effective and as easily modulated as any rice burner I have ever ridden. If you decide to upgrade, I can't help with any interchangeability information but I'll bet someone in here can help.
